Back to the rooftops

TypeDash

Your keyboard. Your crew.

TypeDash is a multiplayer typing game in your browser. Type the same passage, move your runners across the rooftops, and see who finishes first.

Race together in a private room

  1. Open Friends and create a room.
  2. Choose your passage settings and send the room link to your friends.
  3. Up to six players can join. Once everyone is ready, the host starts the race.

You race live on a shared room clock. The host can fill empty seats with bots. Nobody needs to install anything.

Friends busy? Send a recorded challenge.

Finish a run and choose Challenge a friend after it saves. Your friend races a recording of your progress on the exact same passage, whenever they open the link. You don’t have to be online together.

A recorded ghost challenge is separate from a live room. Share a Daily score instead to invite someone to that day’s Daily Challenge.

Just want a quick race?

Quick Play looks for players at your pace, then fills open seats with bots after about five seconds. A full field does not necessarily mean six human players. Bots can finish ahead of you, but do not enter the leaderboard or affect your competitive rating.

How does typing move the runner?

Type each word correctly and press Space to advance. Correct mistakes with Backspace. The last word finishes the run without an extra space. Your result shows WPM, accuracy and race time.

Can friends play on phones?

Yes, TypeDash supports touch typing as well as a physical keyboard. Choose the right input setting before racing. For easier graphics on your device, switch to Light or 2D. Keyboard and Touch leaderboard records stay separate.

Ready for one race?

Free during early access. Play in your browser, with no download or account signup required. Best on a real keyboard; touch play is available too.
